The English Applied Linguistics PhD Program, University of Szeged, is proud to run a course on Language Policy and European Integration,to be taught by Professor Robert Phillipson (Copenhagen Business School) from September 3rd to 5th, 2009

PhD students from Hungary or any neighboring country are welcome to attend the course following email registration with Prof. Miklós Kontra (kontra@lit.u-szeged.hu OR kontra@nytud.hu). The deadline for registration is August 1st, 2009.

Venue: Room III, Ady tér, Szeged

Sessions: 5 sessions from 9 am Thursday September 3rd through 4 pm Saturday September 5th.

There is no tuition fee for the course but participants from places other than Szeged are expected to find their own accommodation. Participants are required to read the course package (see below) before the course and are expected to work on the questions related to the readings (also below). The course package can be copied in Szentgyörgyi Anna's office (Ady tér, Szeged) by appointment or can be sent to registered participants by email.

One of the requirements in sessions 3, 4 and 5 is for each participant at some point to start discussion of one or more of the questions on the readings with a 6-7 minute prepared analysis of the issue.
