Registration

Registration fees for LoLa10:

  • 320 EUR for non-students with accommodation in a single room
  • 305 EUR for non-students with accommodation in a double room
  • 255 EUR for students with accommodation in a single room
  • 240 EUR for students with accommodation in a double room.'

Although the Hungarian currency (Forint, HUF) has lost of its value with respect to the Euro recently, given that many services in the tourism industry are standardly calculated in Euro, we are not in a position at the moment to offer any significant reductions from the registration fee due to these circumstances. (However, we will try our best to be able to reimburse you a part of the registration fee during the conference if the weakening of the Forint continues till then.)

The registration fee includes:

  • - accommodation at the conference site (Hotel Szemes) for three nights (from the evening of August 26 to the morning of August 29) plus breakfast;
  • - the bus trip from Budapest to the conference site;
  • - dinners on August 26-28 at the conference site;
  • - refreshment in the coffee breaks during the conference;
  • - conference folder;
  • - an excursion.  

The registration fee does not include:

  • - lunch (you can buy lunch a' la carte in the hotel's restaurant)
  • - the price of the trip from the conference site back to Budapest.

It is possible, for a limited number of students studying in Hungary and/or for lecturers/researchers (below the professor level) working full-time at a public instititution in Hungary, to apply for a reduction of the registration fee. If you are interested in this possibility, please send us an e-mail to lola10@nytud.hu until April 30.  

Registration procedure:

All participants are requested to register online until May 10, 2009. To start the registration procedure, please click here. (The registration form will be uploaded soon.)

To spare participants the costs involved in transferring money to our bank account, they will be requested to pay the registration fee in cash (EUR or the corresponding value in HUF) upon arrival at the registration desk. The registration desk will be open on August 26 between 13:00 and 15:00 at the Research Institute for Linguistics, Budapest. (The Institute's address and information on how to get there can be found here.)  

However, in terms of our agreement with the hotel, rooms and meals ordered but not used will have to be paid for. Consequently, if you cancel your registration after July 20 (without anybody taking over what you have reserved), you will be required to transfer the following sums to the account of the Research Institute for Linguistics: 

  • In case of cancellation after July 20, 2009: 100 EUR
  • In case of cancellation after August 20, 2009: 180 EUR

When transferring the money, please make sure that you pay all the costs of the transfer.
